Check out Maplins they have a deck which is a USB connection to your comp and comes with software to remove noise (if you want) http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=98232&source=1

It does what it says on the tin  icon_thumright

I have an old Akia unit which works straight into my computer's IN connection and I had no problem getting my LP's onto my computer and then onto CD.  My son bought a Turntable that did what Rad said.  I also believe that you can get music onto your computer through most Turntables if you use a Pre-Amp

Hi 99 the ion t/table will run at super fast speed? so an LP takes a lot less time to copy to HD then by the time you have MP3'd them you have done 20 albums in the time it would take to listen to five (I think)  icon_thumright

I am trying to think of the software that comes with the Ion and I can remember reading they say that there is very little loss and you can adjust the hiss or stuff to your own pref's
I know the name is just on the end of my tongue, Its on the desktop but Im not near that  icon_scratch icon_scratch icon_scratch

Its a commonly used program and the ion can play normally as well so you can listen as you record etc etc

Audacity           thats one I know works with most decks with  a pre-amp output to the input on your system. I cant remember if its the one that comes with the ion but it does the same things. (may even be the same) under a different name icon_scratch
