Burnside Court, in Torquay Road Paignton are holding a fund-raising BBQ to help the Alzheimers society, on Friday 27th June, starting at 3. this includes food, a big raffle, music and loads more.   Donations of gifts for the raffle also appreciated.

I think we all make jokes about people with Alzheimer’s disease, but it must be awful.  There are so many worthy causes that desperately need funding, but people's pockets are only so deep.  I usually donate to the 'Salvos' and to the homeless.  I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to homeless.  I live a modest life, but to the needy, I suppose I live a life of luxury.

I'm getting away from the subject though and I hope that the 'Fund Raiser' for Alzheimer’s is a huge success

Yes, I hope so too.  My aunt had Alzheimer's and didn't even recognize her own daughter in the end.  It's a dreadful disease.  And it appears to be very difficult to find a cure since they can't even tell for sure if that's what you've got until you're dead and they can inspect your brain!
