Was that a picture from your childhood?

Was going to say they plow the snow differently over there as it appeared the walkways were clear and the snow piled in the road (opposite from here) but then I realized that there were probably no motor vehicles back then.

The height of the snow banks is about right

No Kevin, I think that photo is a weeeeeeeeee bit before my time, (but it is Aberdeen) On occasions I have seen snow that high that's been piled up when they've cleared the road and pavements

I was talking to someone in Paignton on the day that it snowed.  The dogs had been out in the morning and it had snowed in the afternoon.  After he had given them their supper in the late afternoon, he let them out into the garden and of course, it was covered with snow.  The puppy had never seen snow before and he just didn't know what to make of it.  He was quite upset that his green grass had disappeared and there was all this white stuff all over it.  Apparently he just kept pawing at it, trying to get it to go away, lol!
