I lost my beloved Cara last Wednesday. She was 18-1/2. She had kidney disease and lots of other problems and she had been deteriorating for the last 12-18 months. She finally stopped eating and there was nothing more I could do for her so I had to let her go. It has been terribly hard and I still start crying over the slightest thing. I had to put all her stuff outside the apartment because I couldn't bear to see it. But this weekend I cleared everything up and threw out all the old stuff and washed her beds and blankets so I could put them all away. It has been horrible coming home to an empty house but fortunately I have been able to find someone to go to dinner with every night so far. Next week I am going to have to get used to coming home from work and not having her to greet me.

Fortunately I’ve never got attached to pets that way but I know for some people it’s extremely difficult.
I hope you get yourself another loving pet PP as I know they are very good company

Sorry to hear of your loss of Cara PP.
I always think a pet is just like one of the family, it`s sad when they get ill, and you know
that their life is over with, you have to think of the nice long life that she had with you.
Hope you are okay..

That`s my big cat Rupert. He came from a cat rescue centre.

When I eventually retire to England, I am planning to get another cat from Debbie's rescue organization.
