Online Problem
« on: 23 February 2011, 01:08:01 »
I wonder if anyone can pinpoint this problem?

This is happening quite too regularly now, I go Online only to find that some of the times, I get a small Exclamation Mark on the small icon at foot of my taskbar which means I no longer have a connection.  Sometimes Windows can fix the problem and I get

But sometimes it can’t fix the problem. (I don’t know why)

I have tried 3 modems and several cables but I still get the same problem.

As my computer has a built in Network Card, I’m beginning to think it could be that so I may have to disable the Card and install a new one but if there were a simple solution, I’d sooner do that

the default gateway is the machine you connect to the internet. if you are using a modem that machine will be at your ISP. So there might be a problem at you ISP or you might have an iffy modem or line.
you can in a dos prompt use ipconfig /renew which might help ipconfig on it's own will give you details of the connection
