hi just to tell you about my progress on grow your own which i am quite chuffed about.

Runner beans   grown lovely and taste good

Peas      only small amount grew but very tasty

Tomatoes    Absoloutly loads and oh so sweet

Cucumber     looked fantastic tasted,, extremley bitter ( but have now found out that you have to look for male and
female flowers, and if you see male flowers you have to pick them off or else it turns your    cucmbers
bitter) Plus had to debug it as loads of white tiny flies on it so have dumped it.

Lettuce       didnt grow enough what I grew tasted lovely/

There is no doubt that when you have grown it yourself it tastes better, when we move next year I am going to look for a bigger garden so I can have abig veg plot.  If I can grow these things anyone can. Halo

Hi Dreamer, did you find your tomatoes took a long time to turn.  We`ve only had a couple of pale orange, Pab`s parents greenhouse we were looking after also, is very slow at turning.

It is nice growing veggies, we had potatoes last year, and I enjoyed them, never put any in this year.

yes they did seem to take some time, but I wondered if that was because I put them outside after being in the greenhouse. Now funnily enough I left one tomato plant inside the greenhouse and it has not turned the tomatoes red yet, Halo
